A.t.m. it views planets (incl. bases), ships, minefields, explosions, wormholes and ionstorms (shows most, but certainly not all information of those). It can also partially predict a hostrun (more of the THost run than PHost). Aim is at showing info which is not seen in an overview in JVC or JVPC (the two clients that work on non-M$ platforms). It should help when doing economics and laying mines, as well as showing all info about enemy ships that's available.
Warning: RVV uses Ruby-Wise, which means it will only run on X-Windows systems for the moment. Porting to other toolkits shouldn't be too hard (once all the complex selection mechanisms are moved from wise-stuff to rvv-core).
RVV should be portable. If possible, should fit on the CPU, RAM and screen of a PDA (like my iPAQ, but at the moment it runs out of memory rather easily).
RVV is not a VGAP client, you can not edit your data (you can, however, edit enemy data and use that in the host prediction :)
